There's a book that's been out of print for a while. I haven't got it in stock, but the Etchery will have copies.

That sounds like something out of the children's book Esold's Folly. I'm sure you could get a copy of it at the Etchery Library.

Nowadays we can mimic most of their abilities, but the relics of a real driftwood serpent are beyond valuable.

Well, you would start by not hunting it. Is this a school assignment? How to keep an extinct creature as a pet?

I wouldn't know anything about it, but the best animal caretaker is Chicory. He's great with all sorts of creatures: big, small, maybe even extinct.

Not mine. Maybe try Aya, the tailor on the north side of town. Maybe she uses a wagon for hauling fabric.

Potionwork was a bit sticky to the Silencers. Of course they hated music spells, but potions?

That split them right down the middle; Some believed potions were necessary and not a threat, others thought potionwork would be their downfall.

So the Newt's Eye was converted to a 'grocery shop' and sold 'cooking' ingredients.

You've never seen so many people suddenly cooking Centipede Pasta and Butterfly Wing Biscuits.

People don't realize how unneccesary it is to use creatures in their potions. Ridiculous!

Any recipe that calls for a toad can easily substitute a bulbous buttercup, or a warty toadstool, or in some cases even a very round rock!
